Naan Pocen is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice moves between wearable art, mixed-media sculpture, and narrative expression. Her work is rooted in the belief that art is both a mirror and a compass—a way of remembering one’s origins while shaping the path ahead. She draws inspiration from personal history, ancestral symbolism, and the quiet rituals of everyday life, creating pieces that feel intimate, tactile, and alive.

Her process blends traditional craft techniques with contemporary experimentation. Bead-embroidered collars, seed-bead jewellery, sculptural objects made from natural and found materials, and narrative-driven visual pieces all sit within her body of work. Whether she’s stitching, sculpting, or writing, her focus remains the same: to honour the handmade, to elevate the mundane, and to create work that carries both story and soul.

Beyond her studio practice, Naan is committed to building creative community and fostering connection through art. She shares her process through workshops, storytelling, and collaborative projects that explore identity, belonging, and the slow art of becoming. Her work invites viewers to pause, to feel, and to remember the parts of themselves they may have forgotten.
